Time Magician
Light/Magic User(Spellcaster)/2/500/400
Flip 1 coin and guess its result.  If you are correct,
destroy all of your opponent's Monsters on the Field.  If you are
incorrect, destroy all of your Monsters on the Field, and do
damage to you equal to half of the total of the monsters' attack
strengths.

Pros
-Turns into a mini-Thunderbolt/Raigeki
-Re-usable if you bring it back to the field (just in case you mess up the first time)
-50% chance of activating its beneficial effects
-Searchable by everything O_o;

Cons
-50% chance of nuking your field, and your lifepoints.
-Not strong stat wise.... 500/400 is just sad...

A strange, but very under-estimated card.  You have to admit that when you saw this monster for the first time, you automatically assumed that it wasnt worth the risk.

After the M1 banning, which took away Thunderbolt for the Japanese players, I have to admit this card started looking pretty useful

Its power comes from chance, but with a bit of strategy, you can easily win the duel with one flip.  The trick to this card is the fact that at maximum, you should only take 250 lifepoints damage.  Why you ask?  Because would you really get your army out and THEN summon this monster?  Of course not.

Time Wizard is one of those old cards that a lot of people over look, but seriously, how useful is a reusable Thunderbolt?

The chance part is easily taken care of by cards such as Second Coin Toss and Second Chance.

In my opinion, this card EASILY stands against Revolver Dragon/Barrel Dragon.  Think about it.  Revolver is a 50/50 chance of destroying 1 monster on the field.  Time Wizard is a 50/50 chance of destroying ALL monsters on your opponents field.

If you think about it, Time Wizard is sorta like a mini version of Revolver due to the fact that its beneficial effect is better, but the cost of a bad flip is pretty much suicide.  Please note, the lifepoint damage you recieve is NOT a legal target for Hellish Trap Door/Barrel Behind the Door because it is not a guarantee, and because the damage is not a specific amount since it all depends on your field's monsters.

Now, Time Wizard has two alternate uses.  Thousand Dragon and Black Robe Sage/Dark Sage.  Thousand Dragon SUCKS, and Black Robe Sage is strictly for Black Magician/Dark Magician decks.  Inside of Black Magician decks though, this card has some strange harmony, being a magic-user afterall

7/10- What?  Too high for this old card?  Well in my opinion, this old card is more useful then ever, especially when your losing badly, need that last direct attack, and you top deck this card.  Your going to lose anyways, you might as well toss the coin and get that "OH MY GOD" moment.  Its fun :D
