MAGIC WARRIOR - BREAKER
Dark/Magic User/4/1600/1000
When this card is successfully Normal Summoned, put 1 Magic Counter on this card (to maximum of 1).  For each Magic Counter on this card, increase this card's attack strength by 300.  Also, you can remove 1 Magic Counter to destroy 1 Magic or Trap card on the Field.

Pros:
-Can be a 1900 ATK Magic User
-Capable of destroying threats of magics and traps

Cons:
-No priority activation for its effect
-...only 1600 when it uses its removal effect?...

This is a card that was introduced in 303, the magic user boosting pack. It sure did boost magician decks. It also boosted 95% of decks that people use. You can also get it in Expert Edition 1 if your lucky. Let's see...it was also used by Yugi against Insector Haga in the Doma Arc and looked very cool using its effect and beating up Haga. XD

This card is simply one of the best cards in the game. When this card was released, a deadly deck known as the "Mirage of Nightmares" deck was built and used in the Winter 2002 Tournament in Japan. That deck was deadly as it contained 3 Breakers to make up for the heavy usage of Cyclones on the Mirage of Nightmares. The draw power was amazing...To get back on topic, this card's strength lies in being one of the 2 for 1 cards cards in the game. It functions as a monster AND magic/trap removal at the same time. If you don't use its removal effect it stays at 1900 ATK...As for combos, Apprentice Magician might have potential to make this removal effect activate more than once.

The downside of this card lies in the way it works. Many people believe Breaker comes into play with a counter on it already. WRONG...when it's summoned, a trigger effect activates, which is the one that tell to put the counter on the card. That effect will take up your priority. Your opponent can then activate something like a Destruction Ring, chaining to the trigger effect of Breaker. Remember, THERE IS NO COUNTER ON BREAKER UNTIL THE TRIGGER EFFECT RESOLVES. Therefore, by using the chain rule, Destruction Ring will destroy Breaker dealing 1600 damage to both players NOT 1900. When Breakers trigger effect resolves, it simply fizzles as it lost its host for the counter. I have been birdwalking in this review haven't I? Well, its much needed to explain priority to the 80% of the people who don't understand...Anyways, if you do manage to get Breakers effect of removal off, then it basically becomes a 1600 no effect monster.

9.6/10- I MUST rate this card very high. It is definitely a staple in all but
specialized decks such as Burn or OTK/FTK. Being 2 for 1 makes this card amazing. Use it and its like saving money! 2 for 1 deal! If you don't use this card, I HIGHLY suggest you use it. Plus, with Cyclone restricted, it definitely softens the blow. If you traded your Breaker away, I also highly suggest you slap yourself in the face. XD
