CARD VERSUS!
Broken Earth (Fissure)
Normal Magic
Destroy 1 monster on your opponent's side of the field with the lowest
attack points.
Earth Crush (Smashing Ground)
Normal Magic
Destroy 1 monster on your opponent's side of the field with
the highest defense points.
Hammer Shoot (Hammer Shot)
Normal Magic
Destroy 1 face-up attack position monster on the field with the
highest attack points.
It's been several months since I did this... So likes get it on! (rings a bell... bell breaks...)
For the first part, I'll talk about their simularities. All 3 cards are easy to use when there is only 1 monster
on your opponent's field. All 3 can only target face-up monsters. If you use any of the 3 cards while your opponent
has monsters of the same attack/defense points, your opponent chooses which of the monsters are destroyed. All 3 basically
has no cost outside of it's own use. Finally, all 3 are normal magic... not that that's anything to be proud of or anything
:P...
Now, the differences:
Broken Earth
-Targets the last thing you want to kill
-Is easily countered with Scapegoat
-If in topdecking
situations, your killing the wrong monsters (unless against Injection Fairy Lily)
Earth Crush
-Logically, when a monster is strong, it's defense is strong also.
-Works well against defense decks
(duh)
-Does badly in situational moments where the strongest monster on your opponent's field has no/lower defense.
Hammer Shoot
-Targets your field too
-Works only on face-up attack position monsters.
-Works only in weak swarm
decks as it can back-fire very easily.
-The only card in which, if the only monsters on the field have equal attack and
defense, but one of the monsters are on yourside of the field, then YOU get to choose which monster is destroyed.
Broken Earth is basically a poor man's monster remover. Easy effect to understand, but when a card can be easily
counted by a scapegoat token... it lost it's power.
Earth Crush is my personal favorate with the least amount of disadvantages. It's pretty understandable. Kill
the strongest defense points. Many high level monsters has a high defense. This is because many of them are now
in use since there is no Witch of the Black Forest to complain about. Now "unsearchable" monsters are in wide use.
The only problems I can see with this card is End of Anubis and Summoned Skull thanks to their very low defense points.
Hammer Shoot is one of the worse versions. Alot better then fissure, but suicidal and extremely situational.
So situational, it's on par with Emissary of Crossout. While most likely providing the best topdecking option, this
card lacks the ability to help any while YOUR winning the duel. Is there a defense monster in your way? Wanna
kill that damn Marshmellon? This card isn't going to help.
Broken Earth- 3.5/10- It's basically an old school sadness. It's still useful since it's effect
still has an impact, but it's been greatly reduced now.
Earth Crush- 8/10- It's less situational, and it packs a larger impact. Sometimes, this
is the safer card to use.
Hammer Shoot- 5/10- Poor card. So situational. Must be in attack position. Has to
have the highest attack points (imagine Lily...) Effects the whole field... It's just a weak form of monster destruction that
fails when compared to Earth Crush.
So in the second Card VS. in the Card Review page, the winner comes out as Earth Crush/Smashing Ground. A unique
and powerful card that might save you once or twice... who knows...
