RESHEF OF DESTRUCTION
Light/Demon - Ritual/8/2500/1500
Summoned by a [Ritual of the Great Unholy God]. Discard 1 Magic card from your hand. Gain control of 1 Monster on your opponent's Field until the End Phase. This effect can only be used 1 time per turn.

Pros:
-Change of Heart is not completely gone...
-Decent stats for a Ritual
-Due to the fact it is a Ritual...TUTORABLE!

Cons:
-Limit to discarding Magic cards...
-Due to the fact it is a Ritual...It Sucks. XD

This card was a strange surprise. I believe this is the SAME Reshef in the GBA game Duel Monsters 8: Reshef of Destruction. The Lost Millenium was a bit of a Yu-Gi-Oh! GX premiere set, so this card from that quite old game was a bit of a surprise...

Reshef can be pretty fun to use if you miss Change of Heart like everyone else. Every turn, you can abuse the allmighty powers of Change of Heart by discarding a Magic card from your hand. I do not think I need to analyze what kinds of things you can do with this cards effect since most people SHOULD know the abusiveness of Change of Heart. Thanks to the banlists, lots of tutors disappeared, making all those 1500 DEF monsters almost pointless. Although Black Forest Witch would be able to search this card out, it can't right now...because it is BANNED! Wait a minute, this card is blue! Dig in your pile of cards for a Light/Angel Monster card known as Manju God. Manju God will instantly put this card into your hand when Normal/Flip Summoned or its Ritual Magic that goes with it. The sacrifice for the Ritual is also easy...one Metal Reflect Slime...10 stars.

If you create a good deck, you will probably have mostly Magic cards in it. This is good for Reshef right, plenty of food for its effect? Wrong. You have to remember that if you put a Magic Card in your deck, its worth using for its own effect. A good deck usually contains Magic cards that work in many situations. You CAN end up wasting you Sealing Swords of Light on a face-down (insert useless Normal monster card name here). Then you find out that after dealing 2500+ damage to your opponent, they draw a card the next turn that turns the entire game around. You could have stalled for your gamebreaker card with the Sealing Swords of Light that was dumped, but it is too late then. You really have to take a gamble with this card's effect you sometimes won't know if at a time in a duel, for example, a Change of Heart will help you more or Emissary of Obliteration when faced with a face-down monster. Critter? Emissary would be the choice of course. Saint Magician? Change of Heart to steal its recycling ability. This card is also a Ritual...That means you will need 2 or more cards other than this one just to summon it. (Ritual for this card, and a sacrifice or more.)

6.7/10- I feel like this card does not really deserve a high rating. It drains your hand quite fast just to summon it, and continues to drain your hand to feed its ability. (No, it is not mandatory to use the ability, but you obviously want to use it...It is the reason you are even using the card.) In my tests, it has proven to be simply decent. I often summon it, but rarely use its effect resourcefully as Magic cards are usually very valuable. Ritual monsters suck anyway. XD
