Card 8: 5/4/04
Exclusivity Virus/Tribe Infecting Virus
Water/Water/4/1600/1000
Discard 1 card from your hand and state a Sub-Type.  Destroy all face-up Monsters on your field and your opponent's field of the Sub-Type that was stated.

Pros
-Low level monster, with a nice effect.
-Can be used to wipe out an entire field.
-Because monster effects are faster, you can summon a this monster, use its effect once before your opponent can counter with Pit Trap (Trap Hole) or Bottomless Pit Trap (Bottemless Trap hole)

Cons
-It requires you to discard one card from your hand to use its effect.
-Effect can't be used during the standby phase. (What monster effect can anyways? But if it was able to, then Killer Snake (Sinister Serpent) would be a real killer...)

A card restricted to 1 per deck, and for a good reason too! When you discard a card from your hand, name a sub type. ( Warriors, Dragon, Water, etc ) Then all monsters on the field with that sub type are destroyed. ( This means ALL monsters, so if you named Water/Aqua, this monster is destroyed as well. ) But the true power lies in the very fact that the card does not state how many times you may activate its effect, meaning you can discard multiple cards from your hand, and name mutltiple sub types! You can clear the entire field!

Though is defense is relatively weak, its attack is decent enough for a monster with this kind of power. Remember, monster effects are faster than most magic and traps.  [by zero- however, you can only name 1 subtype if your opponent activates a trap since Exclusive's effect is optional, meaning you can discard 1 card, destroy a certain subtype, then your opponent's trap/magic card triggers, taking Exclusivity Virus off the field.  This means your not allowed to name more then 1 subtype if your opponent chains Exclusivity's summon with a card that will take it off the field.  Its the same with Initiate Troops/Exiled Forces.]
What I like to do, is have this monster sit on the field and act like a "Turret." Maybe have its defense boosted up or something, then just use its effect to wipe the field clean for other monsters.

7/10- It's attack and defense is weak, but it should be good enough for this kind of power. Although it's not exactly TOO MUCH of a staple card, it is nice to have around. ( Personally, I love that lil green cat like creature on the left side of the pic. :D )
