END OF ANUBIS
Dark/Demon/6/2500/0
While this card is face-up on the Field, all Magic, Trap and Monster
Effects that target cards in Cemeteries or activate in the Cemetery are negated.
Pros
-Negates a large amount of cards.
-Equals and destroys Demon Summon/Summoned Skull in almost
every concept.
-Demon. Can't let that one go :D
Cons
-No defense to count for. Trample decks will have fun messing with this card...
-Might
stop your own cards that you'd use.
According to the official rulings on Yugioh-Card.com (Upperdeck's site), the ruling for End of Anubis is:
THE END OF ANUBIS
The End of Anubis WILL negate the effects of Aswan Apparition, Nubian Guard, Sangan,
Witch of the Black Forest (even if Tributed to Summon The End of Anubis), Mystic Tomato/Giant Rat/etc., Sinister Serpent,
Magician of Faith, Dark Magician of Chaos' "spell retrieval" effect, Vampire Lord's ability to return from the Graveyard,
Dark Necrofear's ability to return from the Graveyard, and activation of Call of the Haunted or Premature Burial.
The End of Anubis WILL NOT negate the Special Summon of Chaos Emperor Dragon, Black Luster Soldier- Envoy of the
Beginning, Dark Necrofear, Soul of Purity and Light, etc., the effect of Fiend Comedian, or Fiber Jar.
You can chain Call of the Haunted to your opponent's effect that designates a card in the Graveyard or activates
in the Graveyard to Special Summon The End of Anubis and negate that effect.
The End of Anubis negates the Special Summon effect of Premature Burial & Call of the Haunted, but does not negate
the effect that destroys the monster when Premature Burial/Call of the Haunted is destroyed.
Its very simple. This card can beat the crap out of Demon Summon.
The very fact that it can stop Killer Snake/Sinister Serpent, Vampire Lord, Black Forest Witch/Witch of the Black Forest,
Critter/Sangan, and all of the revival cards is a dominating factor.
This is the first (FIRST) monster to have the same level and same attack points of Demon Summon. Hades = nothing.
APS/Jinzo = Nothing. Red Eyes = was never anything.
The power is insane.... which works against you like APS is against traps.
When combined with Necrovalley, you can then negate the chaos monsters, but otherwise, End of Anubis doesnt do such a
thing by itself.
This card does have a nice safe-guard, last-minute-save kind of thing...
example:
You destroyed Critter (most likely by accident), and you don't want your opponent picking that damn Marshmellon [not
in english].
Just chain the effect of Critter with Cry of the Living Dead/Call of the Haunted and negate it. Then, use Cyclone/Mystical
Space Typhoon on Cry of the Living Dead to allow yourself to use your revival cards.
Sure its situational, but it helps. Alot.
7/10- The weakness of stopping your revival cards are easily taken care of if you combine this card
with a deck that works with it. (in other words, dont put 3 of these in a deck with Black Forest Witch, Critter, Vampire
Lord, or any card that you can find in my Hell deck..... *weeps* Evil! O_o;). Nice card. I like it
over Demon Summon now, but I really really like my Hell deck..... so no. I wouldn't use this as of yet. Great
for Cemetery/Graveyard Control decks.
