DON ZARUUG
Dark/Warrior/4/1400/1500
If this card does Battle Damage to your opponent, you can choose 1 of the following effects and activate it:
- Choose 1 card at random from your opponent's hand and discard it.
- Put the top 2 cards of your opponent's deck in his or her Cemetery.

Pros
-Has the best discard combination in the game.
-For a discarder, it's stats are strong

Cons
-Doesn't match up to any beatdown card
-Greatest in Control decks... its a waste of space outside of that...

Don Zaruug is one of the most popular discarder in the game, next to Vampire Lord and Needle Worm.

The combination of Hand Destruction and Deck Destruction is a dominating force.  Why?

Well, hand destruction is great... until your opponent has nothing in his/her hand.  The problem with alot of Hand Destruction related cards was the problem that they were just weak monsters that hand no more use once your opponent's hand was empty.  Most of the time, your opponent will start setting cards just to stop your strategy.

Now, this is why Don is so much better.  It has a deck destruction element built in.  If your opponent's hand was empty, then hit him with Don to hit the deck.  The ability to control both the hand and deck can become evil.

The problem with this card is though, its stats are weak compared to any other monster. 1400/1500 is not going to stop the more popular beatdown cards, while just barely able for searching with Witch and Critter/Sangan.

The fact that it doesn't even have Black/Dark Scorpion in it's name is kinda bad too... Since when does a leader NOT share his team's name?

Also, take note that Don's Deck Destruction effect states "Put into..." not discard.

5/10- Good card, but when you look at it's sad stats and the fact that it doesnt have a defensive effect to protect itself, it's pretty weak.  Personally, I'd much rather use a Vampire Lord.  Still a good card with no comparison in the discard section.
