-Works with DNA Operation/DNA Surgery

 

-It sucks.  Plain and simple.

-Insects are not a beat-down related system.  The strongest level 4 Insect monster was only 1800.

This card was brought to my attention by my friend and President, Kane.

 

Apparently, during the AX trip, they met a "friend" who shall be known as "The Dumb Kaiba."

 

Insect Barrier is not good against any deck.  Not in the past, and not now.  The very fact that it only works against Insects made it worse then a god card.

 

Now, the reason that many used it was the fact that it became a permanent defense when combined with DNA Operation... and thats it.

 

No super-pumped up monster to summon.  No special combo.  Just a Sealing Swords of Light/Swords of Revealing Light that lasts as long as it's on the field.  Simple and basic.

 

Yes, it does work, but I can tell you right now, your opponent only needs to play a Cyclone/Mystical Space Typhoon on any of the 2 crappy cards to destroy the defense.

 

Whats worse is if you top deck any of the two cards.  Can you imagine drawing DNA Surgery while your getting pummeled to death?  Or even worse, Insect Barrier BY ITSELF!?!?!?!?

 

I know that I mention top decking alot, but you have to admit, you get into that situation alot don't you?  ;D

 

1/10- I would give this MUCH lower if i could, but I did say 1 through 10, so...  This card has no use in today's environment, and if anyone reading this is still using Insect Barrier with DNA Operation as a combination, then you are now deemed a newbie.  Please remove it from your deck and put 3 Waboku into your deck.  Darn* English players...
