Deck Type:
"OTK"

One Turn Kill.  A deck theme that requires extensive deck construction and is usually very rewarding.

OTK are pretty hard to make (thank god) so they require entire decks to be based on them to run efficiently.

The following are OTK related:

-Exodia: drawing the 5 cards into your hand as fast as possible
-Destiny Board: waiting for all letters to hit the field
-Final Countdown: stall for 20 turns.
-Last Turn: Usually using Jowgen and Dark Necrofear.  A deck based on lowering your own lifepoints as fast as possible.
-Elma Punisher: a deck using Dagger of Butterflies, Gearfreed, and Magical Marionette for the infinite attack points combo.
-Elma God: a deck using the same cards from Elma Punisher, but using Mystik Wok on Magica Marionette to get infinite lifepoints and then letting your opponent deck out.
-Elma Exodia: using Dagger of Butterflies, Gearfreed, and Magical Library to draw your deck and gain Exodia
-Elma Burn: a deck based around Dagger of Butterflies, Gearfreed, Fire Princess, and Morale Boost.  Infinite burn.
-Magical Scientist: a deck based around infinite burn by using Catapult Turtle to tribute fusion monsters.  Usually uses heal cards.
-Reversed Worlds: a deck that is exclusive in japanese, and is quite evil.  Works on deck out.

Ok, this is the largest list EVER!

Ok, number 1 on the list is the original OTK deck type: Exodia.

Exodia's premise is simple.  Get all 5 peices NOW!

The deck requires drawing with cards like Pot of Greed, Upstart Goblin, and Jar of Greed for draw power, Nimble Monomga, Giant Germ, and other such cards act as deck thinners, and this is all basic... but there is 2 cards that every Exodia deck MUST run: Painful Choice and 2 Back-up Soldiers.  This 3 card combo can get all the limbs into your hand, and if you have the head at that same moment, then you just won.

Next comes the weaker, crappier version of Exodia: Destiny Board.

I admit, now that Mystical Space Typhoon was restricted, this card is still considered one of the worst OTK decks around.  There are very little magic and trap revivals in the game.  A hand-ful of flip-effect monsters are your only hope when any peice is destroyed, and that will come OFTEN.  Sure, it's almost automatic, but the fact that it will take a full 8 turns to get the entire thing on your field, it gives your opponent 4 draw phases to draw anything to stop you.  Most of the time, its direct attacks since your magic/trap cards are hopelessly clogged.  Crap on a stick.

Ok, now lets get to something more annoying then strategic.  Final Countdown is a card that lowers your lifepoints by 2000 lifepoints in order to win in 20 turns.  This means both players have 10 turns to wait, and I can say for sure that your opponent will be flipping to kill you as fast as possible with every card that he draws.  This deck requires (REQUIRES) stalling as the only option.  Spirit Reapers, Swords of Revealing Light, Waboku, and a crap load of monster, magic, and trap destroying cards.  Thats all.  Just sitting in the corner of the room warding away your opponent who is going to punch your lights out after the duel...

Next in line is the more strategicly based OTK deck: Last Turn.

This is a hard deck to pull off.  Firstly, you CANNOT just increase your opponent's lifepoints to use it since your own lifepoints must be 1000 or less to actually activate.  This brings into account that you must have a single turn to do this since your opponent can easily knock you off track.  There are very little cards in the game that can be useful, but there is ONE trap card that will guarantee that win.  Wall of Revealing Light.  Pay up 7000 lifepoints (assuming your lifepoints are at 8000 at the time...) bring out Jowgen and play Last Turn.  End game.  Jowgen prevents your opponent's from special summoning btw...

Alright.  Now comes 4 different decks that use the same 2 cards: Butterfly Daggers- Elma and Gearfreed The Iron Knight.

This combo works due to the wording on the cards.  Elma only activates when DESTROYED by card effects.  Gearfreed DESTROYS all equips that are played on it.  This means that Woodland Sprite DOESNT WORK.  Sending to the graveyard is NOT the same as destroying.

Ok, enough of that.  The best part of this combo is that there are several different kinds of ways to destroy your opponent.  Unfortunately, if you tried to combine any of them, your almost asking to lose.

You have to use 3 Gearfreed The Iron Knight, so that means you will have to have a few Calling Reinforcments.  Next, you need a way to get Elma into your hand, and since there are so little amount of cards that do that, you need Blacksmith Kotetsu.  Now, the most important part of the deck... the killer.

There are different cards that relate to Infinite:
Magical Marionette- infinite attack points.  base your deck on revival, dump this monster, then have alot of anti-magic/trap cards.
Exodia- infinite draw.  you'll need 3 Magical Libraries.
Lifepoints- just base your deck around magical Marionette and 3 Mystik Woks.  Then you better hope your opponent doesn't have an exodia himself.
Burn- This is based on Fire Princess, Morale Boost, and making sure your opponent doesn't kill all your Fire Princess...

Alright, almost done.  The next OTK deck: Magical Scientist.

This is one of those decks that, if you screw up, your basically dead.  The structure of this deck is Magicial Scientist, 3 Catapult Turtles, and 7-10 Fusion monsters that are level 6 and under with 2000 and higher attack points.  The trick is getting both on the field at the same time.  The card Reasoning, and Monster Gate can provide some support, but they are rather risky.  Some of the basics is that you cannot afford to wait a turn.  If your opponent plays a single Tremendous Fire, your game is almost over.  The first thing to do is make sure alot of your magic cards are based on healing.  Mystik Wok, again, is a great card.  Basically, you launch fusion monsters at your opponent until you have about 1000-100 lifepoints left, then launch Scientist and Turtle.  Gameover.  Why have 10 Fusion monsters?  Mystik Wok them as extras to gain 1000-something lifepoints for your final assualt.

Just to tell you, I wont be talking about Reversed Worlds due to the fact that only Japanese players would know what the **** I was talking about soooo......
